PG Flow Solutions to provide pump system for subsea test facility

PG Flow Solutions has been subcontracted by Aibel to supply a pump system with a barrier fluid system to Equinor’s K-Lab test facility at Kårstø, Norway.

The Norwegian pump company will supply a high-pressure twin screw liquid transfer pump with variable speed drive, local seal panels and a central seal system.

The PG Flow Solutions scope of work includes design, manufacture, testing, inspection, packing, preservation and delivery of the pump systems and associated equipment.

“We have previously delivered similar pump system technology to K-lab as well to P-Lab, Equinor’s research and test centre at Herøya Industrial Park in Norway, so we are well aware of the high standards that are expected from us as a company and our technologies,” said Mark Tuinman, sales manager – energy, at PG Flow Solutions.

K-Lab is Equinor’s subsea test facility, located at the Kårstø processing plant on the west coast of Norway. The testing at K-Lab verifies the functionality and operability of subsea compressors.

PG Flow Solutions will manage this project out of its headquarters in Sande, Vestfold, Norway.
