Lutz develops mixing and pumping system
The new Lutz DDP mixing system with an integrated air-operated double diaphragm pump is designed for liquids which must be mixed before processing and then pumped, or those which contain small solids.
The mixing and pumping process is made via a suction and mixing tube and a 3-way ball valve. The pre-assembled system is ready for use and is suitable for explosive liquids.
A compressed air-operated double diaphragm pump in a half-inch size made of stainless steel (1.4404) serves as the pump unit and is mounted on a base plate. Using the company’s universal chemical hose, liquids such as paints and varnishes, emulsions, water/oil mixtures and liquids with increased viscosity and solids content can be pumped.
The pump has a flow rate of 57 l/min, an operating pressure of max. 8.2 bar and a max. fluid temperature of 93°C and solids up to a diameter of 3.2 mm can be pumped. The total weight of the system is 21 kg. The suction and mixing tube can be inserted into the bunghole using an optional wire rope suspension and a hoist.
