Ebara sponsors solar desalination system in Kenya
Ebara Pumps Europe SpA is sponsoring Boreal Light GmbH to set-up and operate a WaterKiosk® solar desalination system in Kenya.
The project, which will include Ebara Pumps Europe’s pumps, will supply clean and safe drinking water to a school for disabled children and for local communities in Machakos, a town near Nairobi.
Boreal Light is a Berlin-based company which specialises in renewable energy solutions for water treatment facilities. The company designs and manufactures affordable solar water desalination systems for off-grid communities around the world. The systems can deliver drinking, irrigation, fish farm and sanitation water from any kind of high saline and polluted water resources.
